CHEM 1LE (3.0 units) – Session II
Lecture and experiments covering chemical concepts for accelerated students who do not plan to take organic chemistry. Properties of gases, liquids, solutions, and solids; chemical equilibrium and chemical thermodynamics; atomic and molecular structure; chemical kinetics; electrochemistry. Materials fee. Prerequisite or corequisite: CHEM 1A or ENGR 1A or AP Chemistry. CHEM 1A with a grade of C- or better. ENGR 1A with a grade of C- or better. AP Chemistry with a minimum score of 3. Overlaps with CHEM 1LC. NOTE: LAB discussion will be held via Podcast. Restricted to Engineering Majors only. Chem 1LE labs start the first day of summer session.
