Introduction to number theory and applications. Divisibility, prime numbers, factorization. Arithmetic functions. Congruences. Quadratic residue. Diophantine equations. Introduction to cryptography. Prerequisite: (MATH 3A or MATH H3A) and MATH 13. MATH 13 with a grade of C or better.
