Introduction to mechanics of materials. Topics include stresses and strains, axial and torsional loading, bending, shear, combined loading, stress and strain transformation, failure theories, beam deflection, and buckling. (Design units: 2) Prerequisite: (CEE 30 or ENGR 30 or MAE 30) and MATH 3A. Same as MAE 150. Overlaps with CEE 150.
