Introduction to modern abstract linear algebra. Special emphasis on students doing proofs. Vector spaces, linear independence, bases, dimension. Linear transformations and their matrix representations. Theory of determinants. Prerequisite: (MATH 3A or MATH H3A) and MATH 13. MATH 13 with a grade of C- or better.
