SOCECOL 195 (4.0 units) – Session I
Community engagement to facilitate civic education through field research experience, social intervention, and professionalization. Small group instruction, discussion, writing, and presentations synthesizing students’ experiences in the field with theory, paradigms, and ideas learned about in their course work. Prerequisite: SOCECOL 10. Grading Option: Pass/no pass only. Repeatability: May be taken for credit for 12 units. Enrollment is limited to UCI students. Must obtain approval from the Social Ecology department.
